Assisted Living at New Penrose Harbor Health Center

Penrose Harbor, Heron’s Key’s on-site health center located in Gig Harbor, is open to those living outside of the Heron’s Key senior community. We’re also the only assisted living community in Gig Harbor to offer a modified Life Care contract, which means residents will always have a home at Penrose Harbor. If sometime in the future residents need more advanced care such as skilled nursing, it will be available to residents on a priority basis.

Our licensed, compassionate team members assist daily as needed, and life-enriching activities are geared toward helping residents enjoy what matters most to them.

At Penrose Harbor, assisted living provides a distinct combination of individualized care, familiar neighborhood surroundings and professional expertise. We also provide wellness evaluations and levels of service that address residents’ specific needs. Then, a detailed plan of daily assistance and care is designed for each resident.

Depending on the circumstances of an individual’s situation, or that of a loved one, personalized needs will be matched to the right level of assistance and care. When support with daily tasks is needed — taking medicines, bathing, dressing, meals, transportation and housekeeping — assisted living can be the answer. Trained professionals provide support while helping preserve an individual’s independence.

Our beautifully designed Penrose Harbor health center offers a refreshing approach to long-term health care. Each assisted living apartment within Penrose Harbor is equipped with a private bath, microwave and refrigerator.

Residents and their guests experience a neighborhood feeling at Penrose Harbor with areas for social connections and community activities including restaurant-style dining and neighborhood kitchens, with access to all of Heron’s Key’s services and amenities.
